I am Jade Eynon, a UK based oil painter. I create timeless pet portraits that honour the spirit of your furry companion. Animals have long held a place in art as symbols of connection, loyalty and companionship. That history matters to me because it shapes how I paint your pets. I study how light, paint and gesture have been used for centuries to express presence and character. Each portrait becomes a study of your subject and their place in your story, observed and interpreted through that same language of light, paint and gesture.

What makes my pet portraits unique:

• I place your animal within a real environment, so the painting feels like a moment you recognise, not a cut out on a blank ground.

• Light leads the composition. I use it to shape mood, volume and presence, from soft fur to rain darkened coats.

• I work selectively. I capture the essence of your pet and stop before overworking, preserving the immediacy of the first impression.

• I enjoy textures that oil paint describes especially well, such as layered fur, dense feathers and the way light sits on short hair.
