Marie Brown is a professional animal and pet portrait artist based in Nottinghamshire, specialising in highly detailed, realistic artwork that captures the character and personality of much-loved pets. With over 20 years of experience, she combines technical skill with a genuine love of animals to create meaningful, one-of-a-kind portraits.

  • 20+ years' experience creating realistic animal artwork and pet portraits.

  • Specialises in graphite pencil, pastel pencil and watercolour.

  • Four-time shortlisted artist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation's Wildlife Artist of the Year competition.

  • Most frequently commissioned to draw dogs, cats and horses, but happy to capture all animals - from furred and feathered pets to reptiles.

  • Each portrait is individually hand-drawn from photographs, with particular attention to expression, eyes, fur and the unique features that make every pet special.
