My name is Nicola and I create unique, personalised pet portraits in acrylics, working in a modern impressionist style. Using fluid acrylics on smooth wooden panels, I build up layers to create depth, texture and vibrant colour.

I focus on capturing the unique character, expression and personality of each pet, using bold and expressive colour to bring the portrait to life.

Working closely from client-supplied photographs, I carefully capture distinctive features, markings and colouring to achieve a recognisable likeness. I typically create head and shoulders portraits against a single-colour background of the client's choice, although different compositions can be discussed and agreed as part of the commission, including multiple pets in a portrait.

I have experience painting a variety of dogs, cats and wild animals, providing me with the skills and understanding to undertake commissions of pets of various types.

I use high-quality artist materials and durable FSC-certified wooden panels, creating artwork designed to be enjoyed and displayed for years to come whilst also supporting sustainability.

Each portrait is individually painted and tailored to the client, creating a personal and lasting keepsake of a much-loved pet.
