I am a self-taught coloured pencil artist living in Hampshire in the UK. Having been forced to retire early due to ill-health I looked to art to bring enjoyment and fulfilment again. I found this in pet artwork and I have continued to develop my skills by further focusing on realism and attention to detail in my drawings.
Combining a love of animals with the joy of creating meaningful, lasting keepsakes of pets, I pride myself in particular on my ability to capture the emotion and character that is unique to the pets I draw. I am a member of the UK Colour Pencil Society and the Association of Animal Artists and my drawings have featured in a number of publications. As a result I am often commissioned by clients from around the globe.
The commissioning process is very straightforward:
I work from good reference photos (which we choose together)
Progress photos of the portrait are sent to you (if you wish to see them)
Full payment is made (no deposit is required)
The drawing is sent (tracked and signed for)
